Library Not Registered...yet again. RRS feed

  • Question

  • What I did:

    Google.
    Registered manually some C++ libraries.
    Reinstalled Visual Studio 2008.
    Reinstalled C++ runtime files.
    Updated to VS08 SP1.

    Problem:

    When I create a new C++ project, whether it be a Windows Form or a Console Application or a DLL, on the status bar it will say "Project creating failed" and the "Library Not Registered" Messagebox pops up...nothing else. I'm really stumped...C# and the other languages work fine but not C++. I can't really tell what causes this...obviously it's an unregistered library but which one could it be?

    Thanks in advance.

  • This is not the right forum, but have a look at this site . It suggests a fix and peoples comments suggest other fixes as well. I've had this problem and in fact nothing fixed it until I reinstalled the OS. Hope this one works for you.

    Thanks.

  • How come I never found that site...well I tried all solutions and it didn't work for me either. I guess I have to make myself a skeleton project.
