  • Hey everyone,

You may want to try visiting your computer manufacturer's website to download the drivers directly from their support/downloads section.

Additionally you may want to try using the Windows Update troubleshooter which can be started by:

    • Enter the Start screen
    • Type Troubleshooting
    • Click Settings in the right column
    • Click Troubleshooting
    • Click Fix problems with Windows Update under System and Security

Then follow the steps provided by the troubleshooting window.

    Hope that helps.

  • Have you attempted to restart the computer, research for updates and try to install them again? In my case I was successful on the second attempt.

  • I got the same errors. Have you updated your drivers recently? My drivers from ATI were creating a problem as the driver from windows update for developer preview couldn't install because i had more recent drivers from ATI site. Well you can try for hiding the updates or clearing the update cache.

Yes I have  multiple times. But no succes. somehow  it looks like the update is hanging on one of them. Like it cant be downloaded.

Well I was thinking about it.But I wanted to post this anyway to let people know that there could be problems with the updates that Microsoft delivers. And I didnt update the drivers yet from the official site ( of the programs mentions above).  all the drivers were allready installed.

  • I have that same problem. I have an ASUS G73JH with an ATI Radeon Mobility 5870 and can't install updates for it.

This are the updates that I've tried to install:

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. driver update for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series  (Engineering Sample)

    ATK - Input - ATK0100 ACPI UTILITY

Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) Management Engine Interface

Logitech - Other hardware - USB Input Device (Logitech Download Assistant)

I've tried restarting multiple time, even rfreshed the OS and tried once again to no avail. Anyone have a fix for this problem)
