  • Hi Srini Ch,

    Welcome to MSDN forum.

    >>What is recommended approach to migrate applications ?.

the .NET Framework 4.5.1 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, and 4.6.2 are in-place updates to the .NET Framework 4.5, which means that they use the same runtime version, but the assembly versions are updated and include new types and members.

In general, we have attempted to maintain a very high level of backward compatibility between versions of the .NET Framework, so that apps that target a specific version will run without modification on later versions. Most application compatibility issues have low impact, and most do not require programming modifications to your apps.

If you want to get .net framework 4.6.1 in visual studio 2013, click file->new->project and then click More Frameworks….

You could download .net framework 4.6.1 Targeting Pack.
