WCF client in C++ Store app

    Question

  • Hi,

I have a Windows Store C++ app, I need to call WCF service from it. WCF service has TCP endpoint.

can I call WCF service from Windows Store C++ app?

which type of endpoint should I use?

I can add http endpoint, if it can be used directly from C++ project.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Dhruvesh,

Well, you can use WCF in Windows Store App, but there is some limitation for the WCF usage. I believe this could be a good start for you:Accessing WCF Services with a Windows Store Client App

    For your question:

can I call WCF service from Windows Store C++ app? YES!

which type of endpoint should I use?

Basically you have to use following binding to support your endpoint. HTTP endpoint is supported.

    --James
