*** Note about IE 8 and CCF 2009 QFE *** RRS feed

  • I wanted to take a moment to draw your attention to an issue that showed up in CCF 2009 + IE8 that we have recently corrected…  perhaps save you some of the late nights we went through when we first discovered it ;)


    IE 8 is considered “best effort” support for CCF 2009Sp1.  It is known to work well when using it in its default configuration.  However, issues show up when using the “Use New Instance” configuration command with IE8.

     

    This issue has been corrected in the CCF 2009sp1 QFE release now available on MSDN.  IE 8 is now fully supported and tested for both standard mode (which has always worked) and “Use New Instance” mode ( which is where the issue was )

    So,
    if you are using IE8 for your target platform, I would encourage you to head over to MSDN downloads and pick up the QFE release for CCF.
