Workflow Manager 1.0 with SharePoint 2016 server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I want to use Workflow manager for SharePoint 2016 server and I read few article where it should install on another server.

But my management will not give me new and separate servers for Workflow manager so Can I install Workflow manager on SharePoint 2016 server?

My SharePoint 2016 farm running on Windows Server 2016 and using SQL server 2016.

Please guide me If I install WF on above configuration farm so will it work?

  • Yes, you can. Ideally WFM would be installed on back end SharePoint servers.

You must install WFM 4 and ServiceBus 1.1 for support on Windows/SQL Server 2016.

  • Hi Trevor,

    Thanks for valuable suggestion.

One more query, Can I use SharePoint farm account (installed + configured for SharePoint farm) for workflow manger installation and configuration since creation of new service account for Work flow need approval from management.

    Please suggest.
