how to access session data from rest service using web api

hello,

i am using asp.net web api.

i am not able to access session data from my rest service.

is there a  way to achieve this...??

It's not recommended to add session state to WebAPI, but here is how to do it:

thanks for the prompt reply darrell..

Just to try i created a class and a function in that class which returns session data as string.

But when i tried to call it from userController same null exception came.

Not recommended means is there any security issue with it?
