COM Interop with Session Moniker RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

if I use a "session Moniker", the COM server will be started in the specified session. (works)

But the executable is executed as "interactive user" (help says, that it is necessary to configure the DCOM component as "interactive user" with DCOMCNFG.exe so the string "session:x!clsid:xxx" will be interpret, right?)

Is there a way, that com starts my server in a particular session but as current user/specified user (SYSTEM)?

If it is not possible, what is the best alternative? I can use CreateProcessAsUser (works), but how can I connect to my COM interfaces in this new process?

I think I must bind and use Monikers (Class?, Item?) to identify my instance. Does the new COM server needs to register in the RO table (ROT) that I can access from caller?
