HTML5 Drag and Drop support

    Question

  • I am currently trying to build some draggable elements (div's). Everything works as expected with the mouse, however when I switch to touch input, nothing works.

Why is this not supported? This makes drag and drop not implementable, as the store certification requires touch and mouse to be equally fully supported.

Is there any workaround to get the dragstart, dragend etc. events working with touch?

    Many thanks,

  • Hi

I have already discussed this issue, and is really not supported on touch devices.

Our team developed a controller using MSGesture and now it works for us.

I know that is more complex, but unfortunately the HTML5 default Drag and Drop was not implemented for touch devices.

    Thanks

  • Hm yeah I was already playing with MSGesture but was hoping there was a way to avoid using it, as it adds a lot of complexity I don't really need.
Thanks a lot for your answer though.
