Windows Store App - View States in C# RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a c# code that fires off whenever the view state of an app, is changed. The code then returns the current view state that the app is in. so i can rearrange the controls accordingly?

  • I'd recommend to have your Pages to be of type 'BasicPage' [add that item in your project]: you'll get such service implemented in the LayoutAwarePage.StartLayoutUpdates method and corresponding WindowSizeChanged event handler.

This is the technique used by the Grid App and Split App templates where you can experiment for an actual 'how-to' implementation.
