Is sync'ing views to different Sharepoint lists possible? RRS feed

  • I'm using Project 2013 views (with filters and custom fields) to define project tasks, risks and issue. It would be really nice if I could sync one view (ex: filtered list of tasks based on custom field "Entry type" having value- "issue") with a SharePoint list called Issue Log. Then, another view for tasks labeled as risks, sync'ed with another SP list called Risk Registry, etc. Not sure if this is possible with Project, but would really be beneficial to be able to have all centralized.

  • If you are not intent on having them as separate lists, you could just sync all data to one list, and build views within SharePoint for the same list. You can then add direct links on Quick Launch to the views so that it looks like the users are going to different curated lists.
