  • Hi Ala_Q,

    Thank you for your post.

To install VS2010, at least, we need to meet the following hardware requirements.

You might refer to the following to link:
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/C/E/8CE18AE7-CAA8-4A4C-87CF-0C3DF772322D/VS2010RTM.htm
    (Check "Hardware Requirements")

For each edition of VS2010 product, you can get the information of hardware requirement from http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/products.
(Check "System Requirements" in the chart)

Hope this helps! If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,

  • I have seen the requirements. It matches with thing that i mentioned here. So i think it is going to be good to buy one laptop. Will size of the monitore is gonna be matter? Also in that link it didnt mention anything about processor. In my case the processor is going to be atom processor

  • Hi Ala_Q,

    Thank you for your post.

As far as I know, the size of monitor will not affect the usage of VS2010.

I'm not quite familiar with hardware like processor. If these requirements are met, I think that you can apply VS2010 on the laptop that you want to buy.
In general, if the hardware equipment is higher than the baseline, the performance would be better.

Hope this helps! If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
