Touch Keyboard Missing Using Embedded Lockdown Manager RRS feed

  • Question

  • Background info: We are using Windows Industry 8.1 Enterprise, with Embedded Lockdown Manager and Shell Launcher. Internet Explorer is the "shell" application we use the specific account, configured to re-launch if closed. The device is a large touch screen device that usually has a USB keyboard attached, but does not in some use cases.

The problem is that there is no touch keyboard that comes up regardless if there is a physical keyboard plugged in. There are no device drivers missing and everything else functions great. I was hoping that Windows would recognize no physical keyboard and bring up the touch keyboard when in a text field or any other type-able field like Windows Phone or tablets do. Am I missing something glaring, is the fact that I am using IE as the shell the problem?
