About Workflow and Windows Workflow Foundation 4 RRS feed

  • Question

  • In my server I do not have a workflow installed in my computer and I need to have  SharePoint 2013 Workflow.

    I'm a newbie in SharePoint 2013

    My questions are:

    1.
Is Windows Workflow Foundation 4 included in the  Workflow Manager?

    2.
Where do I retrieve the installation file for workflow manager?
Is it the correct link? (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35375)
I'm unsure about Workflow Manager 1.0

    3.
How do I review if I have workflow manager installed in the server?

  • Hi Sakura

    Thanks for your feedback.

    1. Windows Workflow Foundation is a framework in .net framework

Workflow Manager 1.0 allows you to host and manage long-running Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) applications. Workflow Manager is the backing technology for SharePoint Workflows in SharePoint Server 2013 and the next version of Office 365. This is the relationship between WF and Workflow Manager 1.0.

    2. You can download Workflow manager 1.0 using the link mentioned above.

    3. I think you could take a look at it in Control Panel for your WIndows server.

In addition, if you have any questions about Workflow manager 1.0, you can also get help from Workflow manager 1.0 forum directly.

    Best regards
