Why I see the entire window black? RRS feed

  • Question

  • In the samples of Microsoft Visual Simulation Environment 2008 I see a black(or pink) window and I can't see nothing(not like the screen shoot...).
    Why???
And how could I fix it?

  • This usually indicates that your graphics hardware is not sufficiently advanced for the simulator. What hardware do you have?

  • I think you right. I saw red error about harware simulation...
    CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual  CPU  E2200  @ 2.20GHz each core.
    RAM: 2 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS
    +
    WinXP SP 3
    DirectX 9
    Is it good enough?

  • That looks good enough to me. However, let me pass it on to one of our simulation experts.

  • Have you tried changing the graphics quality setting? It might be possible that a 7300 can not handle the highest quality shaders.

  • I have tried, but I don't need to. I've got Shader 3.
I can't see it as the images in help.
When I press Physx -> Edit, I see that the objects(sky, box, ...) marked whit red I next to them.
As I said, I got GeForce 7, so it use hardware physx.
