[UWP] XBOX LIVE - Crash when logging user into xbox live RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using the nuget package Microsoft.Xbox.Live.SDK.WinRT.UWP.
    I'm trying to sign user into Xbox Live. The call to method Microsoft.Xbox.Services.System.XboxLiveUser.SignInSilentlyAsync returns SignInStatus.UserInteractionRequired which indicates that I have to call method Microsoft.Xbox.Services.System.XboxLiveUser.SignInAsync. When running on Xbox One, when invoking that method the application crashes with internal error of hresult 0x8015DC12. According to this https://github.com/Microsoft/xbox-live-api/blob/master/Include/xsapi/errors.h#L958 and this https://github.com/Microsoft/xbox-live-api/blob/master/Source/Shared/utils.cpp#L1314 the error is caused by an issue with Sandbox. The console is in developer mode, with sandbox the same as at the app in developer dashboard with which the project is associated. The xboxservices.config file has the following content:
    {
      "PrimaryServiceConfigId" : "XXX",
      "TitleId" : "XXX",
      "XboxLiveCreatorsTitle" : true
    }

    where XXXs are data from developer dashboard

    When running on Windows 10 desktop, after calling SignInAsync method the app shows window in which it tries to log in, but then shows failature with the same error code of 0x8015DC12.

  • Hi,

    Since the problem is more related to Xbox Live, I'll help you to move this thread to the xbox live forum. You could get more support there.

    Best regards,
