Hi. I have used Xamarin with Visual Studio 2008 Ultimate Version. But now i want to use Xamarin.Forms in my projects. So i have downloaded Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate version. But after 90 days it will be ask for a license. So i decided to download express version of Visual Studio 2013, because it is free. But i saw 3 edition for Express. [https://app.vssps.visualstudio.com/profile/review?download=true&slcid=0x409&context=eyJwZSI6MSwicGMiOjEsImljIjoxLCJhbyI6MSwiYW0iOjAsIm9wIjpudWxsLCJhZCI6bnVsbCwiZmEiOjAsImF1IjpudWxsLCJjdiI6MTU3NzkyNDU4LCJmcyI6MCwic3UiOjAsImVyIjoxfQ2](Official site for downloading Visual Studio)

    1.Express 2013 for Web 2.Express 2013 for Windows Desktop 3.Express 2013 for Windows.

Now can you tell me what edition of Visual Studio 2013 Express i must dowload.

PS. I have Enterprise License for Xamarin.

    Thank you for any comment

It won't work with Express. See "What are the minimum system requirements" (note that that's Visual Studio Express limitation, not Xamarin's)

Our Visual Studio Extensions for iOS and Android support any non-Express editions of Visual Studio 2010, Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2013.

According to that FAQ, yes. To be on the safe side, try it first. If VS2010 supports NuGet and Xamarin is supported I don't foresee problems. There is also custom XAML generator that might be a problem. Just try it and see whether it works. Make sure you include a XAML page.

Or better, ask Xamarin sales/support directly.

    support directly said:

Windows System Requirements Xamarin.Forms applications can be developed with Visual Studio 2012 or newer. The PCL solution template requires Profile 78 which targets .NET 4.5 - this version of .NET can be installed for Visual Studio 2012 (and is included in Visual Studio 2013). The Windows Phone SDK should be installed otherwise a Project type not supported error will occur.

Well, you can still use Xamarin Forms to develop applications; Xamarin Studio will still work. You just can't use it in Visual Studio 2010.

It won't work with Windows Phone nor it supports iOS on non-MacOS computer though.
