Unity, global illumination folder taken as a language folder

    Question

  • Hi, I have a problem with dev center package and visual studio (when building package it shows a warning about the language) analysis, they detect Persian language (that does not exist in my game) because they find a folder called "fa".

Unity3D, when I build the project, creates a folder called "fa" (Data/GI/level3/fa) that contains Global Illumination data. How can I fix this issue?

  • Hi RickyIT,

According to the error message, there has a hyperlink which explain why this warning appear and provide a workaround to remove this warning.

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=231899

In order to remove this warning, either file(s) or string resource(s) should be qualified with the default language, or the default language should be changed. You can change the default language in Windows Store app projects by opening package.appxmanifest in Visual Studio and editing "Default language" in the Application UI tab.

In addition, please create a new blank project and build it to check whether there also has the same problem. We need to make sure it is related to a specific project or all projects.

  • Hi RickyIT,

Which version of Visual Studio are you using? Please provide the warning message to let us understanding your problem more clearly. As far as I know, it will provide some solution after the warning message.

According to your description, please modify the folder name which is taken as a language folder. In addition, please check all packages or extensions in your project, whether there has other language in that packages and extensions.

  • The warning message does not appear in other unity or vs (uwa) projects.

I fixed the problem by adding Language/en-US/junk.resw.

    Thank you for the advices.
