Performance Monitor Distributed Transaction Coordinator RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Performance Monitor of Windows 7 I added the performance counter Distributed Transaction Coordinator/Active Transactions. However, the Performance Monitor shows that there is allways one active transaction, even when the computer is idle. And when the computer is initiating many simultaneous transactions through COM+, the Performance Monitor still shows only one active transaction, as shown in the figure below. Do you know, how to resolve this problem?

  • Hello,

This seems more of a windows question, but I would suggest that you attempt to create some distributed transactions and hold them open for a minute or two. The counter does not refresh quickly, when I attempted to re-create this it took around 3 seconds to show the change. There should also be a tracelog that can be setup for distributed transactions. You may want to get your windows administrator invovled and look into running the trace to see if that is showing correct information.
