I know for a fact I have done this to myself, both on 7, 8 and 10.
How did you install your image?
(I'm sorry, I'm reaching back into the past here.)
If your DISK ID is different from your EWF, it will likely throw a wobbly.
I think I posted in these forums about it, if not, let me know and I'll dig up my notebooks.

Hello,
This is the way I install the image.
First I ran tap on this SBC under WinPE.
The PMQ file created was imported into a new answer file.
Then I added the "Application Compatiblity" template and also:
Enhanced Write Filter with HORM
I created an image and burned it on the target by running setup.exe
Thank you,
Zvika

Hello,
I booted the target PC with IBQ-64-SP1 downloaded from Microsoft.
During the installation I added HORM.
I can not tell why but with this procedure, ewfmgr is OK.
The procedure I used is: create a PMQ and then import it to an empty answer file and then add application compatibility.
Thank you,
Zvika
