Handling when user drags the application from one display to another.

    Question

  • Hi All,

I need to handle when the application is dragged from one display to another.  Is there any events that I can hook to that fires when the user starts to drag as well as when it is dropped on a different display?

  • Hi Juan,

As far as I know, there is no such event in Windows store apps, Microsoft added multi-monitor support to Windows 8.1, see the Windows.UI.ViewManagement namespace, specifically the ProjectionManager class, which is made for projecting a single view to a second monitor.

Here is a Projection sample for this.

  • OK, Thanks.  Too bad.  I was hoping to be able to detect when the app was being dragged so i could stop playback in my media app.
