Calculating the total cost of Load testing Through online VS ?

Hello ,

I 'm planning to use online VS  on Azure cloud .My company have MSDN subscription acount .

They got 15000 VU/ minutes on monthly basis . however, I 'm planning to have an agressive test .

 

I need to make load testing by 30,000 concurrent users and test duration will be 60 minutes .. As I understood , teh cost of additional Virtual user is .002

I 'm not sure about the way of calculation  per hour ..I think to calculate the total cost per hour , We should multiply 300000*60*.002

Can any one of you help me on that please ?

The Visual Studio Pricing page says:

$0.0004 / VUM for 20,001-2 M VUM 
$0.0002 / VUM for 2,000,001-10 M VUM 
$0.0001 / VUM for usage beyond 10 M VUM/month

The Azure Pricing Calculator has a slider for calculating the load test cost. It shows your scenario of 30K users for 60 minutes costing $712.

Given the free 20K virtual user minutes per month (VUM), breaking this down the cost is:

(30,000 VUM x 60 Minutes - 20,000 Free Minutes) x $0.0004 =

(1.8 Million VUM - 20K VUM) x $0.0004 =

1.78 Million VUM x $0.0004 =

$712
