Registry: Changing the "Language for non-Unicode programs" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I'm building an installation routine for software that needs the non-Unicode language setting to be set to Hebrew.  Currently I install the software and give the user instructions as to how to change the setting manually.  I would like to build the change into my installation routine.  I assume there is a registry key that needs to be changed.  Can someone guide me as to what change I need to make?
I think the key is in  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Nls but I'm unsure and unsure of the change I need to make.
This article (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd319088(v=vs.85).aspx) writes "No function is supported to set the language for non-Unicode programs."  Should I take this as a statement I should give up?
    Thank you for your help,
