Acquiring Kinect One Sensor + Adapter in Mexico and Argentina RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

As it happens, we're beginning to have customers in both Mexico and Argentina. We are selling the software we develop, which requires the Kinect Sensor and the Windows adapter. We expect our customers to find the hardware on their own, specially since we're based in Europe.

What our customers in Mexico and Argentina tell us, is that they're having extreme difficulties to find both hardware devices; they're unable to find local retailers that sell the hardware, or they're unable to order these devices via United States Microsoft Online Stores.

Whenever possible, we're sending the hardware from here, but since the destination is far away from us and the customs are a major pain from Europe, the costs skyrocket to x3 or x4. , so only customers that are really interested in our software accept this option.

We've got to the point we've lost customers that were interested in our woftware, but were unable to access the hardware.

So, could it be possible for Microsoft to offer a reliable store in the US that our customers in South America could use? if it's not possible to order online, by phone or other means would be acceptable.

    Thank you very much

    Vicente

Xbox, Kinect and the adapter are also not sold at the Microsoft Online Store in my country(Latvia(part of European Union and Eurozone)). Since there is a Microsoft branch operating in Latvia, I called them and they ordered the adapter for me at the same price point.

Note: Make sure that the country they order it from has the same power socket standard.
