Best place to store "local" Git repos? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm building an ASP.NET WebApp and WebApi that will eventually become a Content Manager of files in remote Git repos.  Both the WebApp and WebApi will be deployed onto Azure.  The WebApi will use LibGit2Sharp to interact with Git.

To make this work, the WebApi will need to clone the remote repos into "local" ones.  By "local" I, of course, mean within the same Azure domain that they're in.

I'm seeking advice as to where would be the best location to store these repos.  For example, I could just create a "Repos" sub-folder within the WebApi but that seems intuitively wrong.

Given that I'm developing on a Windows PC and will be deploying to Azure, what approach would you recommend I use as to where to store the "local" repos?
