Macro to stop Project Server 2010 workspace creation window in Project Professional. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I am using Project Server 2010 with SharePoint 2010 and SQl Server 2008 R2.
In my PWA, I don't need workspace and I don’t even want to give this option available to the user while publishing project from project professional. I have heard that this can be done through macro and after that the window will not open to ask the user whether he wants to create the workspace.
Could you please inform me the code of the macro through which we can do this as I am very new in this area?

  • You can go to Server settings | Project site provisioning settings on your PWA. There you can set "Allow users to manually create project sites". When you set this you must restart Project Professional 2010. At next publish I suggest that there will be no popup for site creation.
