    Dear friends,

     

    I want to localize my website manually that mean I know something about checking browser language culture and setting key and value accordingly. But I don’t like to use this new style for my web site but I want following settings so friends kindly tell me how I can do this.

     

    I want to check that from which region (state) person is connected to server that mean if person is connected from Gujarat state of India then I like to show my Gujarati website folder and if person is connected from Maharastra state of India then I like to show my Hindi website folder and so on.

     

    That mean how I can check client browser geographic position.

     

    I am using Visual Studio 2008 with VC#.net, SQL Server 2005, Windows XP SP3

    The only way to know the geographical info for a user is by knowing his/her IP. after you get his IP all you need is to use any third party web service that gets geographical info for the user by his/her IP and here is below one of them

    http://www.ip2location.com/default.aspx

    You can get the user IP address by

    string ip=Request.UserHostAddress;
