Corrupted mdb file RRS feed

  • Question

  • A corrupt mdb file gives this message when I try to open it: "Microsoft has stopped the process because you and another user are trying to change the same data at the same time."The message is obviously wrong, no other user can be. I really want to recover this database because it contains customer data. Please tell me how can I recover a Microsoft Access 2000 file format ?

  • First of all, I will suggest you to restore the database from backup. If backup is not updated then, try compact and repair option.

If you are ready to invest on a third party tool then, you can give a try any Access database repair software. Here, I will suggest you Stellar Phoenix Access Database Repair software because, I also tried it. Get the demo verson of the software from here: https://www.stellarinfo.com/access-database-repair.php

Note: make a copy of your data file before trying any method or tool.
