where can i find information on using local dll's when distributing.. like the advantages and disadvatages.  I am assuming if I distribute with all required dll's there is less chance of a problem on setup... any info appreciated.

    Hi,

What exact error message did you get? Please post it here, which can help us locate root cause.

If we add prerequisites to Web Setup, the setup won't install application while prerequisite is not met.

In this case, please make sure the assembly that is referenced to by application is available on target machine.

I look forward to receiving your test results.

im speaking about the reference dll's like system.core   etc.. when you distribute it uses the local machines.. but i have had instances where i get a crazy error cant find such and such.. even though my prerequisites require .net 3.5  --  question  also .. if i include these required reference files in my distribution can I get rid of the required 3.5 prerequisite and just use .net 2.0 ?  < i will be testing this on another machine concurrently. I will post my discovery..
