How to Install windows application and sql server express on MAC Operating Systems ? RRS feed

  • Hello 
             I have Developed an Windows Application in visual Studio 2010 by integrating Sql Server Express using prerequisites   that works fine in all windows Operating System.But my application should also work  other than Windows Operating Systems like MAC,LINUX . We didn't tested other than Windows Operating system.so we have an doubt weather MAC and LINUX Supports Windows Application with Sql Express.

    So far as I know, windows application can not run in other operating system like Mac or Linux.

    Besides, this is a WCF related issues forum, however, the question above is not related to WCF. For this situation, it's recommended that you could ask the question in Windows application Forum or Apple support forum for further information:

  • MS SQL Server runs on the Windows O/S exclusively. You need a database that works exclusively with the other O/S platforms. It means you need 3 different program versions to deal with the databases running on those platforms, and it also means you would be using a programming language that is supported on those O/S(s) too.

    Wherever this thing you are trying to do was conjured up from, it was poorly thought out.
