XMLPolling on weekly basis in Biztalk RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I need to run my biztalk interface on weekly basis.

The service window doesn't provide option to run weekly.

So how can we run interface weekly?

    Please help on this.

  • Everybody use the Scheduled Task Adapter. It has this option

  • Hi Rocky,

You need codeplex task schedule adapter.

You can follow this link explaining how to use scheduler adapter

    http://connectedenterprise.wordpress.com/2011/09/26/the-very-useful-biztalk-scheduled-task-adapter/

It has option to activate your receive location on weekly basis at a defined time window.

    This will surely help.

  • I would  suggest two ways for this . Either you can have a Scheduled Task Adapter to do this weekly run time schedule or you can try to create a SQL stored procedure( where you can decide the next run time based on current datetime +7 days ) and Controller Orchestration which will trigger the end Orchestration on weekly basis.

Benefits of SQL process It that it is dynamic and you dont need to stop/start host instance in case of any schedule change but it will require you some extra effort .

If you wan to go simple than have a Scheduled Task Adapter .

    Thanks
