Site Quota RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have created a Site Collection within that collection i have site for every department in my Org. While creating the Site Collection i mentioned the limit of storage should be 500MB and i am fine with it. Now The Media Department needs to put their Stuff on their allocated site but 500MB is not enough for them. I need to set unlimited quota for media dept. only and not for others. How can this be possible.

    Thanks,

  • First of all, read the capacity and performance management guide on msdn:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262971.aspx

Secondly, quota can only be set on site collection level, which means you will have to create a new site collection for the media department.

    See Plan quota management:

Hope this helps, Koen Vosters http://koenvosters.wordpress.com

  • Hi,

Quota templates helpful only to increase or decrease size at Site collection level so , Quota can only be set on site collection level, which means you will have to create a new site collection for the media department.
