Create a subsite workflow whent user clicks on button in sharepoint office 365 RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    Plaese can u help me to write a workflow to create subsite with some required folders and subfolders when user click on the button in share point office 365.

  • This is called as templating for subsites in SharePoint Online. There are two ways of it.

    Easy but not recommended - 

    Create a subsite, setup only the strucutre (not content), save site as a template. Make sure you don't have publishing features enabled on the site collection level.

    Complex but recommended - 

    Look at PnP partner pack, which provide how to set up the provisioning system using templating with Azure. https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP-Partner-Pack

  • Hi pavanguntha,

    We can firstly create a sub site and then save as site template as Ashish's suggestion, then create a SharePoint 2013 workflow with App Permission to call the REST API to create sub site with the saved template.
