Purpose/Vendor of RTU30ARMCE5.dll ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone know what the purpose of and who supplies RTU30ARMCE5.dll?   It exists in a Microsoft AKU 6.5.3 environment and appears to have something to do with USB/Ethernet.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Gerald,

Nothing in an AKU lives in a vacuum. You will need to follow up with your Device Manufacturer if you want specific details on files in their AKU package.  Windows Mobile is based on CE 5.x so I can parse the last "ARMCE5" to be a library built for the ARMv4 instruction set with CE 5 toolsets but your guess is as good as mine as to what "RTU30" means.

  • PS: I did a quick search on RTU and I suspect you are looking at something custom like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_terminal_unit.  Either there is a remote processor that this device uses internally or you plug in something that this device communicates with.  Either way it seems even more like it is custom code for something that either comes with this device or an add-on.  I would definitely contact the OEM / ODM for more details.
