Report not showing both graphs RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using a standard Report Viewer in a .NET 2.0 web application that is pointed to a SQL Reporting Services Report Server. The reports have 2 graphs on them. When the report is loaded into the browser, most of the time only 1 graph shows up. It's not always the same graph that doesn't show, sometimes it's graph 1 sometimes it's graph 2. The graphs are relatively small in size and simple in format - bar and pie graphs. We have other reports that load more complex graphs, but only 1 graph on the report, and they work fine. When the page loads erroneously with only 1 graph, I can right click the second graph (it just displays the "red X" image placeholder) and click show picture and the graph shows up immediately.

Our original theory was a processing issue. The browser was requesting the reports and the report server had not yet finished generating them. But we set a timer to delay the report load, but that did not work.

Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone have any possible solutions? Thank you.

  • Hi Joe,

Sounds like a settings issue or even possibly a bug in the product.

If you can get a fairly consistent repro of this problem, please file a bug at http://connect.Microsoft.com for us to examine. We triage and examine all customer bugs and will reply to you with the results.

Include a repro(web page, settings and RDL with simple data), log files from the report server and any important information you might think relevant.
