Problem with OData Hands-on Lab RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I am trying to install the hand-on lab for OData "Building Apllications and Services Using Open Data Protocol". However, I am stuck on the prerequisite check. Although I do not really intend to do the excercises regarding Excel and PowerPivot it is requiring me to install Excel 2010. I already have 2007 installed but went ahead and installed the trial of 2010. It still is saying it is not installed. I'm sure I can go through and instll what I need to manually but, I want to make sure I know the list of things that are done during the set-up. also, I'd like to suggest that you be able to ignore prerequisites and still continue the install.

    Best,

    Ryan

  • Nevermind. I figured it out. I just commented-out the entries for these two dependencies in the Dependencies.xml.

    Thanks!
