Hide Publishing ProgressBar Dialog when using SaveAs method of PowerPoint.Presentation objectin C# RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    My problem is when I am trying to save the PPT file to PDF it is showing me a Publishing dialogbox.

    Since I am developing an application that will be invisble to the user, which will always run under tray. So I dont want the user to see any dialog boxes launched through my application.

    My Presentation object is declared as below:

    presentation = ppApp.Presentations.Open(SourceFile,

    MsoTriState.msoTrue, MsoTriState.msoFalse, MsoTriState.msoFalse);

    ppApp.DisplayAlerts = PowerPoint.

    PpAlertLevel.ppAlertsNone;

    I am successfully able to hide this dialog box for Word and Excel.

    Any help would be deeply appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi Hitesh.Soni,

    Thank you for posting in the MSDN Forum.

    It based on my experience that your request cannot be realized. I've tried SaveAs method and ExportAsFixedFormat method with DisplayAlerts set to AlertsNone, however they both show the publishing box.

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,
