How do I reinstall Windows Std Server 2008? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I obtained this OS through a paid subscription to MS' MAPs. Unfortunately I mistakenly installed a 32bit version of the server. Now I want to reinstall it but it won't accept the product key anymore as it allows only one install.  How do I uninstall and reinstall the Windows Std Server 2008?  This is my own little lab environment for learning MOSS and I'm not much of a server person (yet). Being unemployed, I can't pay Microsoft's exorbitant fees to get a little assistance. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • I figured it out. My Pentium 4 will not accept 64 bit plus the product key was smeared causing me to mis-enter it.  So now I will install 32 bit version of Server 2008, then download server 2003 and install over the top of 2008 so that I can run some virtual servers with SharePoint on them and test various configurations.
