  • I've used A1 sound effects http://www.a1freesoundeffects.com/ and http://www.massivetracks.net before and was happy with both.

  •  I found this website for sounds and Effects. You can download 5 sounds per month for free. But if you want mp3 then just play it on website and using firebug or fiddler extract the URL of the playing sound, download it and enjoy freedome.

Thanks for the site, they have really many good sound effects and music loops!

Are you sure it's allowed to download the music the way you suggest? (Fiddler to retrieve url and download mp3)

  • Hi Obus,

It is not legal to download that way, I'm just saying that you can download mp3 for the development purpose and check whether it suites your requirement or not. And before going live with those sounds just purchase them. And there is 5 free sample we can download per month per account. So I don't think we need to be worry about the legal matter.

  • Try  http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Sound.    And also try using Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)  to cut/modify a sound to fit exactly with your game.

Ping me if you'd like help.

    Regards,

    Alex
