ContentMenuListTable, ContextMenuTableWholeLinked, list in table RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Office 2010, I am aware that the following context menus show up under the specified conditions:

    • ContextMenuTable - When a number of rows or columns (including 1, but not all) are selected
    • ContextMenuHeadingTable - When a cell containing a heading style has the cursor in it
    • ContextMenuTableCell - When any number of cells (including 1, but not all) are selected
    • ContextMenuTextTable - When a text cell has the cursor in it (as opposed to a heading... or a list?)
    • ContextMenuTableWhole - When the whole table is selected

I cannot figure out when these context menus show up:

    • ContentMenuListTable
    • ContextMenuTableWholeLinked - I've tried excel spreadsheets and embedded word docs but these seem to be treated as images

And what context menu appears when there is a bulleted or numbered list inside a table cell? I thought it would be ContentMenuListTable but items I add and remove do not take effect. I know it's not ContextMenuList.

  • I had a typo in my original question. I should have been using ContextMenuListTable, not ContentMenuListTable. So that problem is solved.

I still don't know what ContextMenuTableWholeLinked is for, though.
