Running WPF on XP Embedded (SP2) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all

Have any of you played with WPF on a xp embedded ? .. I tried that but the performance is awful .. When playing video
    or scaling or rotateting stuff.

When I play my video files i WMP it uses 5 % i cpu perf. but in wpf 60 - 80 % how can this be ?.

I have installed  .NET Framework 3.0 on Windows XP Embedded Service Pack 2 .. ( Before the SP2 the video files took up to 100 % cpu )
the gfx card is a intel GMA 950.. ( When the box runs vista  I have no trouble with video etc. , much better preformance. If I could get nearly the same perf. on a xpembedded box I would be glad ?  )
    Is it possible ?

  • Yes I know that this is a little too late to be of any use to the poster, but I have been trawling through the web to find information on WPF and may have found  something that may be of use in this case. It is a performance analyser for WPF and can be found at:
