No symbols for ntdll.dll on Microsoft's symbol server (KB2882822). RRS feed

  • Question

  • For ntdll.dll Windows 7 x64 v 6.1.7601.18247the debug symbols seem to be missing.

The message is: SYMSRV:  http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/ntdll.pdb/9D04EB0AA387494FBD81ED062072B99C2/ntdll.pdb not found.

Since the file is dates as of august I want to ask if they will be published or should I uninstall the patch to get back usable callstacks when debugging?

Thanks for making the symbols available most times !

  • Any response yet? I'm seeing the same problem.

This is really important, since it also breaks the !heap commands and probably many other features.

thanks for fixing this as soon as possible!

  • I just noticed that symchk was now succeeding, too! Thanks for following up here, too.

For my own curiousity: was it your email to windbgfb@microsoft.com that got the problem fixed?
    Thanks again!
