Map rendered warped in Android browser RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm developing a mobile application using Bing Maps and in the past week or so I saw the map rendered weirdly intermittently. The map appears warped, like a strange 3D transform has been applied to it. See the attached file for what it looks like. I've only seen this in the Android browser and am not sure if it occurs anywhere else. Has anyone else seen this?

  • Not sure if I've ever seen that before. The only thing I can think of is the map switching to birdseye view which tilts the map and can distort the map if the birdseye tiles haven't loaded in.

  • Seems like the issue is related to having a div with position:fixed above the map. Here's a test case that reproduces reliably for me on Android Jellybean: http://urloritdidnthappen.appspot.com/render/254001
