Unit testing stored procedures and functions: Does anyone use Visual Studio database project just for unit test testing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.

I am looking to use the visual studio unit testing feature for database stored procedures and functions.

It says in the documentation that i need to create a new database project and then import the schema from an existing database or create a db with a script.

I imported this schema from a test db.  This test db will be updated with latest schema changes does by developers.  These new schema changes will not be in my database project.

I will then run my unit tests against this db which has updated code.

Does any one use VS database unit tests in this way?

If so, how do we update the database project schema with the new changes.

I know this is backwards from the documentations..

    Thanks,

    Jaya
