Command Button - new records 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Access 2013 .accdb - - I think I'm having a senior moment....

Have a main form with a bound, single sub form;  I can move to a new record in the sub form using the * in the record selector at the bottom of the frame.... no problem.

Would look nicer and be more user friendly to have a button in the sub form header instead.  When I go to put that in the wizard does not offer a New Record option...   it is just the Go To or Find...     surely I remember the New Record being one of the options that was always part of the wizard.

must one build this now with macro or vba?

  • Look under the wizards Record Operations category. It has an Add New Record command option. Or use the following VBA code with the command button On Click Event:

    DoCmd.GoToRecord acActiveDataObject, , acNewRec
