  • Question

  • I recently bought a laptop that has 64 bit Vista installed on it.   At work we run Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 on PC's that run windows XP.  Is there a way to run those versions of Visual Studio on my new 64 Bit Vista Laptop, or do I need to buy another version of Visual Studio 2005 (the version I've been using) that works on 64 bit systems.  And if I do need another version of Visual Studio 2005 for 64 bit systems (does that even exist),  will I be able to run the apps I develop on the 64 bit Vista laptop on our 32 bit XP systems at work...  Thanks in advance for your help...

Visual Studio 2008 support both Windows x86 and x64, however there is only 32-bit version Visual Studio (which we don't need to worry, it is being able to build/debug applications for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems).
    For more explanation, please see:
How to: Is there a 64-bit version of Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008?

    Thanks
