  •             Thanks for your suggestion,

This process is from sql server 2012 version

I have created new profile and given my gmail Id  and password smtp port . you can see the below screenshots :

    --------------------------------

Even I check status using below queries :

SELECT is_broker_enabled FROM sys.databases WHERE name = 'msdb';   server broker enabled

    EXECUTE dbo.sysmail_help_status_sp;   sysmail status started

Still I server unable to send mail  same error : Database Mail process is shutting down

  • In the Database Main configuration Wizard ->can you check at
"Database Mail Executable Lifetime (seconds)" is set to 600 seconds(i,e 10Minutes) if yes then it is by default value..

so there you can change to some other value like how you want for ex- 40000 seconds..

For ex- see :http://www.idevelopment.info/data/SQLServer/DBA_tips/Database_Administration/DBA_20.shtml for sql server 2008 so similarly check is there any option getting for sql 2012

  • Hi Ramu,

Please check “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” option, and then test again. Additionally, I suggest configuring a Hotmail account and check the result. You can also refer to the following documents:
