Mobile Broadband - Unable to access device services ??

    Question

  • In our application, we attempt to access our own device services using IMbnDeviceServicesContext::EnumerateDeviceServices.

If our application is marked privileged via a mock service metadata, then all goes well.  If not, we get a E_ACCESSDENIED, which is understood.

However, if we attempt to mark the app as privileged via a device metadata, we still get E_ACCESSDENIED.  Why is this?  (note, the device metadata is configured properly, since we are able to permit our app access to the SMS functionality of our own device)

As an OEM vendor, should we not be able to control access (ie, grant ourselves access) to our own device services?
