Sphere with complex color pattern in DirectX [C#] RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am new to C# and DirectX, and need to create a simple, but very specific 3D object: a sphere with color pattern from which I can choose, like stripes of white and black,  black circles on white background, randomly distributed spots, and similar pre-defined color patterns.

I managed to draw a sphere with Mesh.Sphere() and set its color, but stumbled on how to define a more complex coloring pattern. Doing so manually vertex-by-vertex on large sphere can kill me :) Any advice?

    Thank you,

  • What library are you using to access Direct3D from C#?
