OnScreenKeyboard ignores TouchInjection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am currently developing an application to convert TUIO messages into WM_TOUCH using the TouchInjection API as explained here.

(At the moment I use C++, but hopefully I manage to switch to C# soon, using DllImport...)

While testing (singletouch works fine at the moment...) I noticed that the OnScreenKeyboard was ignoring the events. I verified that by simulating a touch in the bottom part of the screen. On the StartScreen this would tap a tile, but with the keyboard deployed, nothing happened.

You should be able to reproduce this.

To me it looks like a bug - what do you think?

    cheers,

  • I found the answer:

The OnScreenKeyboard and other system-relevant applications (system settings..) do only react to touch input, injected by applications that got started with elevated administrative permissions.
